About Anthoxin 125mg Tablet DT

LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN belongs to the combination of medicines called 'penicillin antibiotics' with probiotic. LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It treats various bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, urinary tract, tonsillitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia. Besides this, LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN prevent antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, dysentery (water loss) and infectious diahhorea. LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.

LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN contains two medicines, namely: Amoxicillin (antibiotic) and Lactobacillus (probiotic). Amoxicillin is bactericidal (kills bacteria) that works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering (protective cell wall) necessary for their survival, thereby preventing the growth of bacterial infections. Due to antibiotic intake, a large amount of beneficial bacteria gets destroyed, so Lactobacillus helps in balancing the number of beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract (gut) to manage water loss (diarrhoea) due to antibiotic or infections. Lactobacillus also helps in the treatment diahhorea (water loss) and cramps caused due to harmful E. Coli bacteria. Together, LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN helps in treating bacterial infections and coping side effect of the antibiotic, i.e. infectious diarrhoea and dysentery.

Lactobacillus is a probiotic which helps in restoring the balance of good bacteria in the gut (digestive tract) destroyed due to use of antibiotics. LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN is a broad-spectrum antibiotic which is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN is used to treat various bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, urinary tract, tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia and infectious diarrhoea. Directions for Use

Take LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN with or without food. The tablet form of LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN should be swallowed as a whole; do not crush or chew the tablet. The liquid form of LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN should be taken by mouth using the measuring cup provided by the pack; shake the pack well before each use. The dose and duration of LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN can vary depending upon your condition and severity of the infection.

Side Effects of Anthoxin 125mg Tablet DT

Like all medicines, LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN can also cause side-effects, although not everybody experiences them. Skin rashes, nausea, vomiting, bloating, and gas are the common side-effects of LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN. Please consult your doctor if you experience any of these side-effects persistently.

Before starting LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN, please inform your doctor if you have any allergy (against any antibiotic), kidney or liver problems. Do not take LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN on your own as self-medication may lead to antibiotic-resistance in which antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections. Talk to your doctor before taking LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN if you have glandular fever (fever with a sore throat, swollen glands and extreme tiredness), lymphatic leukaemia (cancer of blood and bone marrow) or HIV infection, since you may be more prone to developing a skin rash. Consult your doctor if you are not urinating regularly or have bladder problems while taking LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN. Avoid taking LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by a doctor. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking LACTOBACILLUS+AMOXICILLIN to prevent unpleasant side-effects like drowsiness, and it also enhances the amount of medicine in our body leading to toxicity.
